I grew up spending my summers at sleepaway camp. I went to a few different camps growing up. By the time I was at a camp that I loved, I was older and felt like I had started there too late. I loved camp and all it had to offer but I didn’t really feel like I fit in.

In retrospect, I wish I would have stuck it out because I do feel like I missed out. Fast forward many years later, and my husband and I were on the search for a sleepaway camp that would be able to meet our needs as well as the needs of our four children. As a child, I did not realize all that camp gave me, but as a parent watching my children thrive in their happy place, well there’s nothing quite like that.

After watching my kids from the sidelines for a few years, I started working at the same camp my children attend. Just like my kids, I count down the days until we are back at our summer home. I know from firsthand experience how important the right fit between a person and a place can be. I am beyond thrilled to be able to take something I am so passionate about and help families find their children’s happy place too! Who knows, you may even end up there as well.
